pay teenage son to clean car-- $20.00
ice cream for younger kids for cleaning other car--$13.00
shoemaker and cleaners -- $30.00
other (easy-off, tape and stuff like that) -- 25.00
matza--12 pounds at $19.50 a lb.-- 234.00
grape juice--(no wine)6 bottles at $3.00 ea - $18.00
new light fixture to replace the one the kids
busted when bringing stuff down from the attic-- $15.00
first grocery shopping-- 395.00
new vacuum cleaner (old one deemed not
worth saving) $107.00
new belt for vacuum cleaner busted by
helpful child $12.00
dryer repair (of course pesach time!) $170.00 * *
total to date 1209.00
and it's not even pesach yet!

whew.What about taxes?
yeah, that too --a few thousand
and $350 just for the accountant's fees
Be Thankful you have (obviously) a couple of kids ,a house,2 cars and enough income to pay a few thousand in taxes at the end of the year.I know many people who wish like anything they could be in your personal and financial situation

anon - of course i am thankful. i try to live modestly. and not to much beyond my means.
two cars could mean a new SUV and an avalon but here, two cars means one newish one (car payments up the wazoo) one and 1994 minivan, only slightly disreputable.
tr8- yeah, come on over and i'll give you an earful about wasteful spending...
ps this year I dont think I will buy anyone summer shoes cuz last year they spent the whole summer wearing crocs. the six dollar variety.
lol @ the shoes - sometimes I feel dumb for not going to BP to stand in line at the shoe store for 2 hours and come out $300 poorer, cuz everyone else does it, but when my friends complain - I have one word..PAYLESS! :-) Guess Im cheap!
